Francis Ngannou fired back at Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid following his rather hilarious congratulatory message to the newly-crowned UFC Heavyweight champion.

Shortly after The Predator knocked out Stipe Miocic in devastating fashion in the main event of UFC 260 on Saturday, Embiid made it clear that he will still take Ngannou on despite him now being considered the Baddest Man in the Planet.

Ngannou rode along with the trolling antics of the Sixers star and was grateful for JoJo's support.

Both natives of Cameroon, Joel Embiid and Francis Ngannou have developed a strong friendship over the years. The Process was certainly thrilled for his countryman's career-defining win, especially against a legend like Miocic.

But knowing the playful nature of the Sixers big man, a simple congratulatory message wouldn't have sufficed. He needed to add some flair, and challenging perhaps the scariest fighter in the world right now would do the trick. While Embiid would have no business sharing the Octagon against a killer like Ngannou, he does have the size and frame to match up with him, hypothetically of course.

Heck, the 7-foot slotman even made the hulking 6-foot-4 Ngannou look average in their old photo together in a Sixers practice.

African-born athletes, meanwhile, have been making a splash in professional sports in recent years. While a lot of legends like Hakeen Olajuwon have opened the doors for guys like Embiid in the NBA, the UFC has also been experiencing an African-invasion as of late.

Ngannou has officially become the third active UFC champion of African descent. He joins the likes of Welterweight king Kamaru Usman and Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya who are both of Nigerian descent.
