Following an entertaining Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, Las Vegas has already released the betting odds for next season.

According to Covers, the early odds currently have the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers both billed at 20/1 to hoist the Lombardi trophy in 2018.

The significant jump up by the 49ers can directly be attributed to their rising star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who was impressive this past year, winning all five games that he started to finish out the regular season. The 26-year-old passed for 1,542 yards over that stretch, which is the most by a quarterback in franchise history in their first five games. He also became the first 49ers quarterback since 1970 to win each of his first three road starts.

The 49ers are expected to re-sign Garoppolo to a lucrative deal at some point in the coming weeks that will have him under center for the next several seasons. The front office currently has $100 million in salary cap space at their disposal to improve the roster around their quarterback on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, the Raiders received a new jolt of energy in the organization with the hiring of Jon Gruden as their next head coach. Although Gruden hasn't coached in the NFL since the 2008 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he has remained around the game as part of ESPN's broadcast team for Monday Night Football. On top of that, several of his players have already spoken glowingly about the opportunity to play under him next season, and possibly beyond that.

Oakland has their fair share of issues defensively, but the front office will likely make moves to help fix some of them this offseason. The team already released veteran cornerback David Amerson on Tuesday morning to shake up their secondary and save cap space.
