Although the New Orleans Pelicans have largely underwhelmed thus far in the 2017-18 NBA season, superstar center DeMarcus Cousins is at the top of his game. Not only has he been among the league leaders in points and rebounds, he has largely served as one of two bright spots in what has been an otherwise fluctuating Pelicans offense.

Despite his large stature, Cousins is still among the most dynamic big men in the game today. He flashed some of that explosiveness during the third quarter of Friday night's matchup versus the Orlando Magic with a thunderous dunk on center Bismack Biyombo, courtesy of NBA Twitter:

The Pelicans were able to capitalize on the highlight play with a 111-97 win to get back into the win column following a two-game skid. Meanwhile, Cousins finished with 26 points on an efficient 9-of-16 shooting to go with 11 rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

However, despite the stellar play of their superstar frontcourt pairing of Cousins and forward Anthony Davis this season, New Orleans' experiment with arguably two of the best big men in the game has yet to produce any significant results. That said, plays like this are only going to attract more suitors for Cousins in next year's star-studded free agent class. Fortunately, the Pelicans still have some time to figure things out before the playoffs start to roll around.
