Things got too intense between Jimmy Butler and Avery Bradley during the matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and L.A. Clippers. The incident happened near the halfway mark of the fourth quarter when the Sixers star found himself battling for rebounding position against the Clippers guard.

Here's a closer look:

Based on the evidence, it appears that Avery Bradley pushed first. Then again, Jimmy Butler isn't someone who's going to allow himself to be punked just like that and, as always, in these types of situations, the retaliation is what usually gets caught first by the officials.

No disrespect to Avery Bradley, but the Sixers got the worse end of this exchange as Jimmy Butler holds more value to his team. Fortunately for Philly, though, the visitors still ended up winning the contest, 119-113.

All-Star center Joel Embiid carried the Sixers by tallying 28 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three blocks. He also canned in a couple of 3-pointers. Ben Simmons did his usual all-around menace on the strength of 14 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Butler finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

Avery Bradley played 29 minutes but only managed to contribute six points and one assist to the Clippers' cause. Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari, Tobias Harris, and Montrezl Harrell formed a four-headed 20-point monster for L.A. with 22, 21, 21, and 20 markers, respectively.
