Earl Thomas and the Seattle Seahawks have had issues all offseason long and it appeared at one point like the two sides would part ways. Seattle was listening to trade offers for Thomas, but never decided to pull the trigger.

Thomas was unhappy with his contract and wanted to go somewhere that would pay him what he deserved. Unfortunately, not only did he not get a new contract, he also went down with a leg injury against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. The severity of his injury is unknown, but there is a major reason for concern.

Nick Brown posted an interesting Twitter video that showed Thomas flipping off his own sideline as he was carted off the field. This video shows exactly the kind of feelings that Thomas has been showing towards his team since late last season.

Hopefully, the injury is not serious and Thomas will be able to bounce back quickly. If not, Thomas' feelings toward the Seahawks are completely justified. Not only will he have suffered a serious injury, but it will also be very difficult for him to get the kind of contract he deserved following the injury.

Thomas was having an impressive season for the Seahawks before the injury. Including his performance today before getting hurt, Thomas had racked up 22 total tackles to go along with three interceptions and four defended passes. To say that he deserved a pay raise would be an understatement.

Seattle's defense has already been a lot weaker than it has been in years past with Thomas on the field. If this is a season-ending injury, the Seahawks are going to have a tough time filling the hole left by his absence.

More news will come out in the near future about the severity of Thomas' injury. Make sure to keep checking back for updates on his status.
