Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been setting records from the time he stepped foot in Minnesota coming out of LSU. Not only did Jefferson become just the third Viking in franchise history to be named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons, joining Randy Moss and Sammy White, but on Monday night he also moved into third place on the Vikings touchdown (16) list when it comes to wide receivers in their first two years. The two others ahead oh him? You probably guessed it already, but it is Moss (28?!) and White (19.)

While Jefferson is unlikely to get the whopping twelve touchdowns necessary to catch Moss, it is entirely possible that he catches White and ends up with the second-most touchdowns by a wide receiver in their first two years as a Viking. Not bad for the fifth wide receiver drafted in the 2020 NFL draft.

Some other records that Jefferson holds: He is second in NFL history for rookie wide receivers and owns the Super Bowl era rookie receiving record of 1,400 receiving yards. He also owns the franchise rookie record for catches in a season (88,) his seven touchdowns as a rookie is also third all-time in Vikings history.

The names Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, Ceedee Lamb, and Jalen Reagor (ouch,) will always be remembered as the ones that were called before Jefferson's on draft day. It fueled him back then and it continues to fuel him today. As all of those receivers approach a second season with zero eclipsing 1,000 yards, Jefferson is pulling up on his second season going way past the 1k mark.
