The Minnesota Vikings ended an era when they fired both head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman. One half of the new era was ushered in, as the team announced the hiring of new general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, who was a member of the Cleveland Browns' front office. However, even with the fresh and new feeling around the franchise, some of the negativity from the Zimmer-Spielman era is still lingering. Zimmer's girlfriend went on a crazy rant aimed at Spielman on Twitter, as reported by VikingsWire of USA Today.

Former Vikings general manager Rick Spielman did an interview on the Move The Sticks podcast and spoke about building a roster. Mike Zimmer's girlfriend, Katarina Miketin, responded to the tweet of the interview with a fiery rant.

Miketin criticized Spielman of refusing to talk to Zimmer and causing separation when the Vikings “needed unity.” But she wasn't done yet.

She doubles down on the whole no-communication-thing here, accusing Spielman of not speaking to Zimmer for three months. That is quite the accusation. This fiery accusation came after the former Vikings GM conducted an interview with Colin Cowherd where he appeared to throw shade at Zimmer for his relationship with Kirk Cousins.

It's not clear if Mike Zimmer's girlfriend is coming from a place of fact or just plain anger at how things unfolded with the Vikings. However, one thing is clear. The perceived tension between Zimmer and Rick Spielman may not have been so far-fetched.
