The Minnesota Vikings have been without star cornerback Patrick Peterson for over a month, but it looks as if the veteran DB is ready to return to the field.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Peterson has been activated from IR ahead of the team's Week 11 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Peterson has been out since Week 6 with a hamstring injury he picked up against the Carolina Panthers. He sustained the injury while in coverage against Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore. It was the first time in his 11-year career he was placed on IR, as the 31-year-old has displayed remarkable durability during his playing days.

The Vikings are 4-5 on the season, coming off a 27-20 victory against the Los Angeles Chargers. Having Peterson back in the secondary for a matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the rival Packers will be a major boost for Mike Zimmer's defense, who will also be getting back star safety Harrison Smith from the COVID-19 list.

In his first season away from the Cardinals, Peterson has featured in six games for the Vikings. He has recorded 13 tackles, two pass defenses, and one tackle for loss this year, but has yet to come away with an interception. He'll hope to leave his mark on the historic NFC North rivalry game by logging his first turnover of the year against Green Bay.

Throughout his career, Peterson has featured in 160 games, recording 28 interceptions and 512 tackles. He's an eight-time Pro Bowler and has made the NFL First-Team All-Pro roster three times.
