Golden State Warriors small forward Kevin Durant has followed Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook on Instagram.

Durant and Westbrook are believed to be on good terms again after having beef during the 2016-17 season. Durant left Westbrook and the Thunder for the Warriors in the summer of 2016 and it caused serious tension between the two stars.

Since joining the Warriors in 2016, Kevin Durant has won two-straight championships and two Finals MVPs. He is averaging 25.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 52.5 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from beyond the arc in 130 regular season games with Golden State.

Russell Westbrook, meanwhile, has averaged a triple-double two seasons in a row since Durant's departure, and the explosive guard won the 2017 MVP award. The Thunder, however, have been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in 2017 and 2018.

Durant and the Warriors are favored to win their third-straight title in 2018-19. The scoring machine can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2019 if he declines his 2019-20 player option with Golden State. So, the question has to be asked: Will Durant leave the Warriors and consider joining another team if he wins another ring?

Back in July, Yahoo Sports insider Chris Mannix not only said Kevin Durant won’t finish his career in Golden State, but is predicting he will take a look at his old stomping ground and reunite with Westbrook.

Durant is one of the more sensitive players in the NBA and clearly cares about what people think of him. Durant could regain his popularity outside of Golden State if he went back to the Thunder. If LeBron James can go back to Cleveland after Cavalier fans burned his jersey and owner Dan Gilbert wrote a distasteful letter bashing him, Durant can surely go back to OKC.
