Andrew Wiggins has earned his place on the All-Star team this season as he's played exceptionally well for the Golden State Warriors on both sides of the ball. But it didn't hurt that he got a little help from a certain K-Pop idol.

The Warriors swingman got a huge All-Star Game shoutout from K-Pop star BamBam on Twitter. His tweet for Wiggins ended up becoming the single most impactful post for any NBA player's All-Star candidacy.

Andrew Wiggins was recently asked about BamBam and his efforts to drum up support for him to get into the game.

“I thought it was pretty cool,” said Wiggins of the gesture. “He's a very popular guy and he helped me get a ton of votes, so.”

The Warriors made BamBam an official global ambassador of the team, which the K-Pop star announced on social media on January 7th. Just hours after that, he sent out the tweet that got the Andrew Wiggins All-Star train some serious traction online. Definitely a savvy move from a franchise known for making such decisions.

Wiggins admitted, however, that he is not yet a K-Pop fan. But the Warriors' newest All-Star isn't tuning it out of his playlists just yet, especially for his newfound friend in BamBam.

“Not yet,” said Wiggins when asked if he was into K-Pop. “I'll give it a chance, though. Especially BamBam.”

One thing's for certain, Andrew Wiggins' All-Star campaign has been anything but ordinary.
