Charles Barkley doesn't exactly seemed concerned with pleasing Dub Nation. In fact, the loudmouth TNT analyst and NBA legend appears more willing than ever to intentionally pit himself against Golden State Warriors fans.

At least he has respect and appreciation for the actual Warriors, right?

During a break in play at the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament in South Lake Tahoe, Barkley let his true feelings about Golden State fans—specifically ones from San Francisco—be known while casually conversing with nearby spectators.

“I like the Warriors. I hate their fans,” he said. “I do. I love Steph and Klay. But I'm sayin', I really don't like the fans. They're just awful people. They were much better when they were in Oakland. They had great fans…They were great in Oakland.”

Barkley is hardly the first to note the supposed difference between the Warriors' current fanbase and their prior one. Golden State's move across the water to Chase Center in San Francisco's Mission Bay ruffled more feathers in Oakland than anywhere else.

Despite the team's efforts making tickets available to fans left behind in the East Bay, it goes without saying that gate prices at Chase Center—second-most expensive in the NBA behind the New York Knicks'—have changed the demographics and overall vibe of Golden State's home crowd.

Does that make Warriors fans worthy of “hate” en masse? No way. But Barkley loves poking the bear, and Dub Nation will no doubt relish the opportunity to poke him right back.
