Golden State Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell went through a full practice on Thursday and is probable for Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Russell missed his third straight game on Wednesday versus the Houston Rockets due to an ankle sprain:

In his first season with the Warriors, Russell is averaging 19.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. The lefty is shooting 38.6 percent from the field, 31.4 percent from beyond the arc and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Timberwolves wanted to acquire Russell this summer, but weren't able to get a deal done. Minnesota big man Karl-Anthony Towns and Russell are very close friends off the court.

After losing to the Rockets on Wednesday, the Warriors are 2-6 on the season. Superstar point guard Stephen Curry underwent left hand surgery to address his broken hand and will miss around four months. Power forward Draymond Green is also out with a left index finger injury.

Even with a healthy Curry, Green and Russell, the Warriors were going to have a hard time making the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference. It looks like it’s going to be a long season for the Dubs, although the franchise is happy to get Russell back on Friday barring a late setback.
