United States president Donald Trump tweeted about how he enjoyed seeing Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr answer some questions about the hot button issue between the NBA and China.

The notorious president called the Golden State Warriors head coach “weak and pathetic” as he addressed the media regarding the China controversy.

Kerr has been a very outspoken critic of Donald Trump. The three-time champion coach has been expressive about his displeasure and grievances on the Trump administration.

However, Kerr has become very passive when it comes to answering questions about China. Trump, predictably, took this chance to take his shots at his long time critic.

Steve Kerr said that he would need to do some more reading into the situation in China first before providing any kind of comments or stand on the issue. The former player has since received plenty of backlash for remaining mum on the issue, especially after establishing himself as one of the most outspoken NBA personalities on the social issues in America.

It's really looking like the longer Kerr doesn't denounce the human rights issues in China the same way he does in the U.S., the more we know of his stance, or his priorities for that matter.

Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey's tweet of support for Hong Kong's fight for democracy has certainly sent a firestorm across the league. This did not sit well with China.

Since then, NBA commissioner Adam Silver defended Morey and said they will not apologize for the Rockets GM's right to express his own opinions. China and its government expressed its dissatisfaction with Silver's statement and has since canceled a number of NBA-scheduled events in the country.
