It doesn't take much to motivate a guy like Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors stud has been one of the most driven players in the NBA and his grit has brought him to great heights. Unfortunately, this season has been tough for the Warriors as they're on the verge of missing the postseason for the second straight time.

If the regular season ends now, the Warriors are in the 10th spot with a 23-25 record after their latest loss to the Miami Heat on Thursday and will be on their way to the play-in tournament to battle it out and earn the no. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

This whole scenario has obviously been a bit bothersome for Green. Not that he wants to secure a play-in tournament spot but more because he hates the fact the Warriors have been dropping Ls here and there (via Anthony Slater of The Athletic).

“I'll be 100% honest with you, fighting for a play-in spot does not motivate me. I don't go into these games thinking that, ‘Hey, we're right there on the fringe so we need to win these games for that play-in spot.' No, I want to win every game I play in because I hate losing. That sh*t really bothers me. That's what motivates me. Not fighting for some play-in spot.”

Green finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in their loss to the Heat.

The Warriors have clearly struggled on the road where they've now lost three straight contests. They've also dropped five of their last six games as they continually struggle to secure a top-eight spot. Time may be running out for Draymond Green and Dub Nation.
