Draymond Green is one of the best defenders in the league today, so it comes as no surprise the Golden State Warriors star is a big fan of the NBA rule change that punishes foul-hunting stars.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Green was asked about his opinion on the said rule change. While it has affected his own Warriors teammate Stephen Curry, the veteran forward couldn't help but be happy with it. After all, he has experienced being baited to a foul from such foul-hunting maneuvers.

“It’s very funny seeing some of this shit not get called. As a defender, it's exciting to me. I remember when the rules first came out, in the bus on the way to practice, I started yelling ‘Yeah m*****f*****s, y'all not getting away with that shit no more,” Green said, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

For what it's worth, Draymond Green believes players in the NBA will be able to adjust to the new rule in no time. Nonetheless, the Warriors' small ball center believes the changes will give defenders like him a “fair” opportunity to show their craft without being punished for it.

“At the end of the day, I think the skills in this league are probably at an all-time high, and so guys will score the basketball regardless. But it does help to know that you have more of a fair opportunity as a defender and guys can’t just cheat the system.”

It remains to be seen how the anti-foul hunting rule will impact some of the best scorers in the NBA like Curry, Trae Young, Luka Doncic and James Harden to name a few. After all, they are deemed to be the ones most affected by the new rule because of their playing style and ability to draw defenders.

Then again, it should be able to make for an even more exciting basketball action.
