Before the Golden State Warriors beat the Utah Jazz on Saturday, Jazz head coach Quin Snyder gave Draymond Green some very high praise. When addressing the media in his pregame interview, he said that he believes Green, who wasn't playing that night, should be in the MVP conversation.

At Monday's shootaround, Green was delighted to respond to Snyder's comments.

“I agree with him, and I think that's someone who sees the game for what it is. … I don't think it could have been explained any better. … The things I do to impact winning, I think there's something to be said for that,” Green told ClutchPoints.

When you look at Green's numbers, they won't jump out at you. But when you watch Green and the Warriors play, his fingerprints are all over the place. Offensively and defensively, Green leads the charge. Stephen Curry is the headliner, but the Warriors' success has a lot to do with Green.

To see the value in Green, you have to have an excellent understanding of the game. There aren't many people who understand basketball at an elite level. Green says Snyder is one of those guys, and that's why he's respected not only by his team but the entire league.

These comments won't go to Green's head, but it's more confirmation that he's playing basketball the right way. Not that he needed anyone to tell him that, but it's always nice to get some outside recognition, especially from someone you respect.
