Draymond Green was a menace against the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. As it turns out, this is exactly what the Golden State Warriors star had planned out as he looks to help his team win their fourth title in eight years.

Speaking to the press ahead of Wednesday's Game 3 bout, Green opened up about his role as an enforcer for the Warriors. According to the Dubs star, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he failed his team in this regard:

“I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I'm going on about my summer and we lost the NBA Finals because we couldn't meet force with force,” Green said on Tuesday, via Kendra Andrews of ESPN. “So I think that was just kind of it for me, and understanding that, like I said, that is my department. That's where I'm supposed to lead, and I can't let my guys down.”

Green revealed that he feels the Warriors lacked physicality in the opening two games of the series. It sounds like the former Defensive Player of the Year wants to stamp his authority even more the rest of the way:

“You get to the NBA Finals, and physicality and meeting force with force is important,” Green said. “It's just something that you have to bring to this game … when I watched the film, and even just how I felt, I just didn't think they felt us enough. You can't get to this stage, to this level, and the reason you lose is because a team didn't feel you. That's a shame. You have to lose once you get to this level because a team was just better than you.”

Green can accept the fact that they lost to the Celtics in the Finals because they were outplayed. However, it is clear that he simply won't tolerate it if the Warriors were unable to match Boston's physicality. As he said, this is his department.
