NBA legend Grant Hill got honest with Klay Thompson ahead of his highly-anticipated Golden State Warriors return. Warriors fans have been waiting for Thompson to finally step inside the court and reunite with his Splash Brother Stephen Curry.

It is yet to be determined when the All-Star shooting guard will officially be back in the Warriors lineup but many have already been buzzing about how things will play out when he returns. Among them was Hill, a multi-time All-Star who's not a stranger to injuries at all.

According to Hill, Thompson should not force anything and just let his everything get back to normal even if it takes months.

“We've come so far in terms of recovery and the methods with surgery, so I think he'll be fine,” Hill said of Thomspon via NBC Sports. “The most important thing is you can't get it all back right away, in some cases. So as long as he can put together consecutive days, consecutive weeks, consecutive months of health—the basketball part is going to be there—I think he'll be fine.”

“I think he's in a great situation,” he continued. “Team is doing well. He'll come right in and fit right in and it will be fun to watch. Except when you play against him.”

As it stands, Thompson's return is not yet clear as water. In fact, Warriors coach Steve Kerr even previously hinted that if necessary, Klay could make another spell at the NBA G League.
