The Golden State Warriors got what they hoped for in the 2022 All-Star Game with Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green all we're selected to play. The Warriors even have Oakland native Juan Toscano-Anderson participating in the Slam Dunk Contest. Everything was going their way, but their luck ran out when it came to this season's NBA Rising Stars Challenge.

Rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody didn't make the roster. After defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, Kuminga talked about being snubbed.

“I really don't worry about that, as long as I'm still playing here and getting better every single day,” the Warriors talent told ClutchPoints. “When you go to the Rising Stars game it's not really helping you work on your craft. It's just a fun game. I'd love to be there but they passed on me. So I ain't got to worry about that just focusing on the future now, and helping the team win and just getting better every day.”

The No. 7 pick in the 2021 draft had a terrific performance off the bench in the Warriors' win over OKC. Kuminga scored 16 points and had 4 rebounds to go with 4 assists. He did so while playing against rookie Josh Giddey who the Thunder chose one pick ahead of him in the draft.

The Warriors have a 41-13 record this season, and that's second-best in the league. Playing on a great team is what players want, but it comes at a cost for Kuminga. The high-flying rookie should be in the NBA Rising Stars game but this year he's playing for something bigger.
