The Golden State Warriors might have their guy. It's only one preseason game, but it might have been enough to shut the door on who will start in place of Klay Thompson. A spectacular outing by the confident third-year guard Jordan Poole put the world on notice. He scored 30 points in 22 minutes of play and made it sound casual in his postgame interview.

“It's some things we can work on. Coach talked about it right away. Obviously, I told him to stay on me about the little things, and I think we have a mutual agreement that we have to get better every day. It's a work in progress, and I'm just learning as much as I can,” Warriors talent Jordan Poole told ClutchPoints.

Poole's night got started almost immediately as he knocked down two bombs early in the first quarter. At that point, he decided not to stop. The Warriors youngster finished 7 of 13 from long range, and it seemed like everything he tossed up was going in.

But scoring wasn't the only thing Pool did well. He put together a complete game adding 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks in a dominant 121 to 107  victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Poole led all players in scoring and was the best player on the floor Monday night.

If Poole can be a consistent force on the floor, the Warriors will be very dangerous this season. It was only one game, but this is the type of play you can expect from a highly confident Jordan Poole in year three.
