When Kevin Durant moved to the Golden State Warriors two years ago, the media was quick to brew up a storyline between him and Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook.

It was inevitable that they would have some bad feelings towards each other, especially Westbrook. After all, the Thunder were a contender team back then. Many believe that Durant did not have a good enough reason to leave the Thunder for a better team.

Once Durant made his decision, the narrative was already painted: Durant vs Westbrook. During this stint, the two seemed to be the worst enemies. Every time the Warriors and Thunder met during the regular season, Durant and Westbrook's every action were magnified to an extreme.

While it is true that there is a bit of drama between the two, it wasn't that big of a deal as the media presented it to be. Durant recently spoke about the drama. He knows what's going on outside but deep in his heart, he knows that the truth is:

And good proof of this is the 2018 All-Star break. During pre-game warm-ups, the two were seen talking with each other and fooling around, just like the good old days.

Talking to the media during All-Star weekend, Westbrook said, as reported by AJ Neuharth-Keusch of USA TODAY Sports:

“It's been fine, it's been normal,” Westbrook said when asked what it's been like to be around Durant again. “Communicating, that's about it. All the other stuff is kind of irrelevant. Just keeping it cool, talk when we need to and just moving forward.”
