Kevin Durant's ejection from Friday night's tilt against the Orlando Magic was one of a game with very little to complain about at both ends of the floor, but it's something that grabbed headlines despite yet another 20-plus point win by the defending champs.

The Golden State Warriors forward was ejected with 4:52 left of the Warriors’ eventual 133-112 victory after receiving a lone technical, along with the boot from referee Eric Lewis, after he had made deep eye contact with the official after feeling there wasn't any call upon contact.

In the very next possession, Durant drove right into the chest of Aaron Gordon and scored on a floater, looking back at Lewis and saying “call that s***” — warranting the toss immediately.

“The refs run the game,” said Durant, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News. “So if they’re not feeling good today, they can just make any decision they want.”

“I have to know they got all the power. I got to just shut up and take it.”

Head coach Steve Kerr didn't make much of the situation, despite the fact that Durant likely has a fine coming from the league office at some point next week.

“He said a bad word, a magic word,” Kerr said. “I told Scott Foster that ‘I call you that all the time and you never kick me out.’ He said, ‘But I am one!’”

Lewis was having none of the same humor Kerr and the veteran official seem to share.

“I guess I tried to show him up and he ain’t like it,” Durant said. “So he threw me out.”

The Warriors were up by 16 once Kevin Durant had scored his final bucket of the game and managed to put the contest away comfortably. They will face the Miami Heat on Sunday in the third of six road games this trip.
