The Golden State Warriors have grabbed their second straight NBA title and third in the last four years after sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in this year's NBA Finals. This has shifted the conversation toward the Warriors possessing too talented of a roster that breezes past much of the rest of the league.

At the forefront of it all has been Kevin Durant's decision to join Warriors in free agency that has now given them four legitimate All-Stars to lead the charge. In response to the strong notion that his presence has ruined the NBA, Durant made it clear that he would be earning more if that was the case, according to Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports.

“My responsibility is to my skills. My responsibility is to myself,” Durant told Yahoo Sports. “I’m not worried about the NBA. That’s their job. They make too much money. They ain’t paying me enough to dictate the NBA. I should be making more money if all that’s on me. My responsibility is to whatever team I play for. All that other stuff, that’s on y’all.”

Durant is currently wrapping up the 2017-18 season after earning $25 million after taking a nearly $10 million pay cut to remain with the Warriors. He is set to likely pursue a max contract this upcoming offseason in his expected re-signing with Golden State, which will mark the first time in his carer that he has hit that number.

The 29-year-old has simply worked inside the salary-cap rules to join the Warriors in the first place as the team had the financial space to ink him to a lucrative deal as two-time league MVP Stephen Curry had yet to ink the five-year, $201 million deal last summer. Golden State had simply taken advantage of the situation that presented the opportunity to bring him aboard to add him to their already talent-laden roster.

The Warriors are now in the position to add to their already impressive run over the last four years with possibly more NBA titles after everything has truly fallen into place and worked out to the fullest extent for the franchise.
