An edited photo of Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson donning a Los Angeles Lakers jersey has surfaced online and his father Mychal Thompson sent out a reaction.

The elder Thompson, of course, played five seasons with the Lakers and was a key part in their back-to-back titles in 1987 and 1988. Of course, his reaction is not a sign that his son will be a Laker soon. Perhaps he was just reminiscing about the good days he spent in Los Angeles.

Mychal shared a story recently, about how he saw great potential in his son's jump shot when he was younger. According to John Whisler of the San Antonio News-Express, Mychal said:

“I remember telling his mother at a youth basketball game when he was about 10 or 11 that he’s going to be in the league someday and make 100 million bucks with that jump shot of his,” Thompson recalled. “She thought I was crazy. But he’s always been able to shoot. Even then he could make 20-footers like they were free throws.”

He knows that his time is up, but he's completely fine with it. Now, he's simply proud of his son:

“Now it’s the new generation’s turn. To have a son like Klay who’s representing himself so well is a blessing. He has a chance to be a Hall of Famer if he keeps working hard and stays humble.”
