Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is already quickly moving up the all-time playoff 3-point made list, passing a legend on Friday night.

In what would be just yet another shot made from distance by Thompson, he made a three in the third quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, giving him 262 career playoff threes made. With that, he has passed famed Los Angeles Lakers talent, and general dude who was always making shots at the right time, Robert Horry on the all-time list.

Oddly enough, it was only a few days ago when Thompson was having a hard time putting the ball through the basket. To be fair to him, he went on the record stating he rather shoot poorly and win than shoot well and lose.

By way of The Mercury News (after Thompson had 10 points on 20 percent shooting from the field, 18 percent shooting from beyond the 3-point line on Tuesday):

“I’d love to have this performance again if we go undefeated,” Thompson said. “That would be nice.”

“No one cares if you go four-for-20 when you win,” Thompson said. “But if you lose, that’s no fun. I don’t focus on any statistic besides being 2-0.”

“I will never doubt myself when it comes to shooting,” Thompson said. “I’ve put too much effort into it.”

That is a nice sentiment by Thompson, and there's no reason to believe he is lying. That being said, if the Warriors want to win yet another ring, they will need Thompson to be as accurate a shooter as he usually is moving forward.
