Golden State Warriors rookie Moses Moody will never forget the night he got drafted for two reasons. First, it's the NBA Draft for heaven's sake. Second, Kendrick Perkins fumbled his name in a way no one could have ever imagined.

Mody Mooses? Mody Moo? Mooses Mody? Perk just couldn't make up his mind.

The Warriors' first-year player recently had the opportunity to talk to Perkins while guesting on ESPN's The Jump.

Moody: “It was funny. Everybody was sending it to me. It was a running joke [and it is] still going on.”

Perkins: “At the end of the day, you were going to make a household name for yourself anyways. But I think I just added a little spice. Now you're a household name. Everybody knows who Moses Moody is — even my grandmother.”

These two even took their newfound “bro thing” to the Twitterverse for the larger audience to appreciate.

Is it safe to assume Moody got an early chip on his shoulder with the way Perkins mishandled what his parents gave him? Then again, it's not even one of those tongue-twister names.

Moody is no savior for the Warriors, but he looks like someone who can be that guy in the future when Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green pass on Dub Nation's torch.

So far in the Summer League, Moody has consistently put up bucket after bucket alongside fellow Warriors lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga. The safe bet is on Perkins no longer fumbling Moody's name and saying it with praises moving forward.
