Saturday night against the Brooklyn Nets marked Andre Iguodala's fourth straight missed game for the Golden State Warriors. Iggy has been dealing with a lingering hip injury and the fact that he's been out for a relatively extended period could be a cause for concern.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently spoke out on Iguodala's current injury and according to the Dubs shot-caller, it was his own mistake that may have led to Iguodala missing time (h/t Anthony Slater on Twitter):

Kerr is talking about Golden State's 121-117 loss to the Indiana Pacers on January 20th. Iggy spent more time on the floor than what he's been used to so far this season and it looks like the heavy minutes instantly took their toll on him.

Iguodala has been nursing a sore left hip and the fact that he's now at the tender age of 38 makes it more difficult for his body to recover from injury. The good news here is that as Kerr implied, Iguodala could be back as soon as Monday's road game against the Houston Rockets. The Dubs are scheduled for a five-game road spell next week and the team is hopeful that they are able to get Iggy back sooner rather than later.

Since re-signing with the Warriors during the offseason as a free agent, the former Finals MVP has played 25 games so far this season. Iguodala has averaged 4.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 20.5 minutes off the bench. He may no longer be the dominant force he once was, but there's no denying that Iguodala still remains to be a key part of the squad.
