The Golden State Warriors lost a nailbiter to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, 107-103. While Jordan Poole had a career night as he dropped 38 points, Klay Thompson struggled heavily.

Thompson was coming off two impressive performances but posted just 13 points against the Suns. Nevertheless, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr isn't the least bit worried and believed Klay will bounce back in a heartbeat. After all, he was away from the game for two and a half years.

Via The Athletic:

“Not to be unexpected coming off a two-and-a-half-year absence,” the Warriors HC said. “He’s such a competitor. He wants to do well so badly, he tends to press when things aren’t going his way. It’s because of how much he cares. We just gotta keep encouraging him. The whole point is we have to get great shots for each other. Klay had a couple games on the trip where he gave up the ball and got it back. He’s gotta trust it comes back to him. When he does that, we’re at our best.”

The Warriors star shot just 1 for 10 from three-point land and a putrid 5 for 21 from the field. It was simply just one of those nights where nothing was landing for Klay, who combined for over 60 points previously against the Wizards and Hawks.

There's no doubt the Dubs will need Thompson at his absolute best if they're going to make a playoff run. Cold nights come from time to time, it's more about how he'll respond.
