SAN FRANCISCO — Saturday was a huge night for Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson. He put on a spectacular show inside the Chase Center, draining eight three-pointers on his way to scoring 36 points, leading the Warriors to a thrilling 111-107 comeback victory over the Utah Jazz.

Steve Kerr, unsurprisingly, wasn't the most impressed with Thompson’s ultra-aggressive shot selection. But in the Warriors' offense, especially when his fellow Splash Brother is sidelined, Thompson can take any shot he likes.

Before the game, the future Hall of Fame coach talked about Thompson pressing on the court. Kerr believes his star guard wants to be the player he was before his two-year hiatus so badly that it's hurting his productivity.

Everything went Thompson’s way on Saturday. He was two points shy of his season-high 38 points, and Golden State walked away with an enormous victory.

The win secured the Warriors a playoff berth, their first since 2019—the year Thompson suffered his first season-ending injury.

This win was also against the best team they'll face on their remaining schedule. Golden State's next four games will be against the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans.

These are all games the Warriors are more than capable of winning, but the games still have to be played. Their first game will be against the Kings in Sacramento. If they beat the Northern California rivals, the Warriors will have won back-to-back games for the first time since March 14th. It would also mark the Dubs' 50th win of the season.

If Thompson can find some consistency in his game, the Warriors should finish the season strong.
