Golden State Warriors small forward Andrew Wiggins received more support from his team about making the All-Star team. This time it was from his head coach Steve Kerr. Before the Dubs game against the Utah Jazz, Kerr said Wiggins deserved to make the team and why he felt that way.

“I also believe that the All-Star game should be about wins. Anytime there are players that are close together in the voting, I think being on winning teams should count for something…I think Wigs (Andrew Wiggins) deserves to be an All-Star,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

The 2014 No. 1 pick in the draft is having a terrific season. He's averaging 18.8 points while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from deep. Wiggins' field goal percentage and three-point percentage are both career highs.

Whenever the Warriors need him most, he's available and ready. He takes the challenge of guarding the opponent's best scorer every night and does it while still being a scoring threat. Wiggins is a two-way player who hasn't got the respect he probably deserves in this league.

This season could be the year that changes for him. You can argue that Wiggins is the second-best player on the team without Klay Thompson on the floor yet. It just depends on how you look at it.

The Dubs are 28-7 and have the best record in the NBA. If they get their way, three players will represent the Bay Area's team. Two players should be guaranteed, especially if they still have the best record in the NBA.
