The Golden State Warriors will be playing a home game in Seattle versus the Sacramento Kings, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says it's gonna be Kevin Durant's night.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

No Steph or Draymond, game in Seattle, 40 shots for KD tomorrow? Steve Kerr: “Tomorrow night’s game is about Kevin and the Sonics”

Playing in Seattle will be very memorable for Kevin Durant as he was drafted in 2007 by the Seattle SuperSonics, eventually winning Rookie of the Year. After that year though, the team was forced to move to Oklahoma City where the Thunder resides due to arena issues. The game would also be a homecoming for Warriors president and Hall of Famer Rick Welts who started his NBA journey as a ball boy for the SuperSonics. As Taylor Bartle of sonicsrising.com writes:

“We worked three years to bring the Warriors there and I can tell you KD is incredibly excited. I think he may have a couple tricks up his sleeve, actually, while we’re up there. We sold out the game in 4 hours. Seattle is dying to welcome an NBA game back and to welcome Kevin Durant who won his Rookie of the Year award when he was a Seattle Sonic.”

This will surely be the preseason game to watch as Seattle legends would also be gracing the arena. Many fans are expecting, and are actually rooting for, a comeback of an NBA team from Seattle. Would this be the precursor? Seattle fans are about to show why there needs to be an NBA team in Seattle again.
