It was earlier reported that the Golden State Warriors are intent on keeping James Wiseman on the team for the foreseeable future. As it turns out, however, this isn't exactly set in stone.

According to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, the Warriors might be inclined to listen to trade offers if they were going to get an All-Star-caliber player in exchange for their prized big man:

A league source told HoopsHype that while Golden State is not looking to trade James Wiseman, they would listen if an All-Star player was on the table and one becomes available this summer in potential trade talks.

It will be an extremely interesting summer for the Warriors front office. They have a number of personnel decisions that need to be addressed and the Wiseman situation certainly stands out as a key issue.

Wiseman had a relatively impressive rookie year before going down with a season-ending injury late into the campaign. He appears to have done enough to establish himself as a key piece for the Warriors in the coming years, potentially serving as their cornerstone big man of the future. Then again, it looks like he hasn't achieved untouchable status as of yet.

Golden State's championship window is closing quickly with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and the returning Klay Thompson all nearing the twilights of their respective careers. As such, the young and promising Wiseman might not fall in line with the team's current timetable. For this reason, it wouldn't be surprising if the Warriors actually decide to part ways with the 7-foot center this offseason — at the right price, of course.
