Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green shared his thoughts about the best trade transaction that went down in this year’s trade deadline. The three-time champion for the Warriors feels that the Los Angeles Clippers had the best trade after acquiring point guard Rajon Rondo in exchange for former sixth man player of the year Lou Williams, second-round draft picks, and cash.

Green, who’s also made some headlines for his statements this week, clearly believes in the two-time champion Rondo. It’s not hard to blame him as Rondo was an impactful piece to the Los Angeles Lakers’ title run last season.

Rondo is a floor general, has an incredible basketball IQ and championship experience which he will contribute to the Clippers. Meanwhile for Clipper fans, losing long-time Clipper Lou Williams is tough especially after what he’s done for the franchise. It's even more difficult considering he's been one of the fan favorites in Clipper nation.

Williams averaged 12.1 points, two rebounds, and 3.4 assists this season for the Clippers this season. Williams’ averages are a far cry compared to Rondo’s 3.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists this season. Clearly, the Clippers are prioritizing a point guard who can significantly help them come playoff time, and they missed out on both Kyle Lowry and Lonzo Ball.

The pressure is certainly on the Clippers this year. They’ve traded multiple assets for Paul Goerge back in 2019 in order to be in that “win now” mode. So far, the Clippers season is looking good as they are currently third in the Western Conference standings with a record of 29-16. After their disappointing exit last season, all eyes are on their revenge tour this year and they are poised to make a deep run.

Perhaps that's why the Warriors star pegged this move as the best one of the wild, crazy NBA trade deadline on Thursday.
