On Wedneday, NFL commissioner addressed the media relating to the report that Washington Football Team owner Daniel Snyder interfered with the league's investigation of the team. According to an NFL.com wire report, Goodell claimed that Snyder did not interfere with the investigation.

This is what Goodell had to say.

“We went through a very lengthy period of investigation and discussions,” Goodell said at the conclusion of the Winter League Meeting. “The one thing I can say with a 100% assurance is that it didn't interfere with the work that our investigator did. We were able to access all the people that she wanted to access, have multiple conversations with those people. There's always a little bit of a tug and a pull with particularly lawyers and law firms. That's something that I think we were able to overcome and make sure that we came to the right conclusion.”

It was reported on Tuesday that lawyers and private investigators representing Snyder took steps to potentially interfere with the investigation process.

The Washington Football Team has been under scrutiny for sexual harassment and other improper conduct. Congress had sent a letter to Goodell asking for all documents relating to communication from the probe.

The team hired Beth Wilkinson to do an internal investigation last year. It was during her attempts to speak with witnesses that there was supposedly interference. However, Roger Goodell appears to claim that is a non-starter.

The Washington Football Team has already been fined $10 million by the league based on initial findings.
