Sunday’s game between the Washington Football Team and Cincinnati Bengals features the first two picks of the 2020 NFL Draft: first overall pick Joe Burrow, who was selected by the Bengals, and second overall pick Chase Young, who was drafted by Washington.

They did meet on the field during the game, and it didn’t go well for the former LSU Tigers quarterback:

The play happened at the 12:03 mark of the second quarter with Washington ahead of Cincinnati, 7-0.

Burrow was looking for a receiver in the end zone on fourth down, but he found some space as he went to his right and decided to make a run for a potential touchdown scramble.

That was when Young met him at the 1-yard line and rocked him, which caused the Heisman Trophy winner to lose the football as a scramble ensued, with Washington eventually ending up with possession.

Burrow and Young will have more meetings in the future as their names will forever be linked, but their first one is already one they’ll never forget, especially for the Bengals quarterback.

Washington is 2-7 on the season, while Cincinnati is 2-6-1.
