The Chicago White Sox have had bad luck when it comes to injuries this season, as two of their best starting pitchers, Lucas Giolito and Lance Lynn, have been sidelined in the early going. In the lineup, Chicago has lost newcomer AJ Pollock and third baseman Yoan Moncada to the 10-day injured list. On Thursday, the White Sox were dealt another injury blow, this time to star outfielder Luis Robert. Robert tweaked something late in the game and was forced to exit. Following the contest, Chicago manager Tony La Russa provided an update on Robert, as reported by Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times.

Per Van Schouwen, Robert has a minor groin strain. La Russa didn't provide any more details on the White Sox star's injury or if he'll require a stint on the sidelines.

Robert's injury comes at a bad time for the injury-ridded White Sox, who were just swept by the division-rival Guardians. Chicago will now have to turn around and play another division-rival in the Minnesota Twins.

Robert is batting just .175 through his first 10 games, though he has flashed his power and speed skills, as he has two homers and five stolen bases.

The White Sox should have another update on Robert soon. Hopefully, for their sake, he can avoid a stint on the injured list.
