The Chicago White Sox just couldn't escape the injury bug. This time, it's Eloy Jimenez who fell victim after the young outfielder sustained a scary hamstring injury on Saturday in their game against the Minnesota Twins.

While sprinting to first base to beat the grounder in the second inning, Jimenez seemed to lose control of his footing and landed awkwardly after he hit the bag. He stayed on the ground for several minutes and had to be attended by the training staff as he grimaced in pain while holding his right leg.

Eloy Jimenez was able to get up with some help, but the White Sox needed to cart him off the field as his injury looked serious. Later on, the team confirmed that the 25-year-old sustained a right hamstring soreness and is further being evaluated to determine the extent of the issue.

Jimenez has had some bad luck when it comes to injuries throughout his career, having played just 55 games in 2021 because of a ruptured left pectoral tendon that pushed back his season debut for the White Sox. He has also missed one game this 2022 because of an ankle issue, but he was able to get back from that rather quickly with rest and treatment.

As mentioned, the White Sox have been unlucky when it comes to injuries. Aside from Jimenez, Luis Robert recently sustained a mild groin strain while Josh Harrison has been dealing with back spasm. The likes of Lucas Giolito, Yoan Moncada, Lance Lynn and Joe Kelly have also been on the injured list due to various health issues.
