After a relatively mute offseason since the free agency window opened, the Washington Wizards will try to make their most important move by matching the Brooklyn Netsoffer sheet for restricted free agent Otto Porter, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.

The Wizards have until Saturday at 11:59 p.m. to match the four-year, $106.5 million offer from the Nets for their prized swingman.

Porter made the best of a brilliant fourth year, in which he finished fourth in the league in three-point shooting thanks to a 43.4 percent clip and 148 treys made through 80 games this season.

The 6-foot-8 wing developed into a key player in Washington's rotation, playing 32.6 minutes per game under head coach Scott Brooks and putting up 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

The Nets have long attempted to snatch restricted free agents, doling out whopping figures for them, which has proven futile so far, as general manager Sean Marks has swung and missed in acquiring Tyler JohnsonAllen Crabbe, and Donatas Motiejunas last season.
