Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal has etched himself to the franchise’s record books, joining a prestige group of players to reach the 10,000 point club.

The 26-year-old University of Florida alum joined the ranks of Elvin Hayes (15,551 points), Jeff Malone (11,083), current teammate John Wall (10,879) and Wes Unseld (10,624) as the fifth Washington  player to eclipse the scoring feat.

Beal notched the 10,015th point of his career after scoring 19 points in the Wizards’ 121-125 loss to the Oralndo Magic at Amway Center on Sunday.

Beal has been a busy man in the early goings of the 2019-20 NBA regular season, as he also passed Wall and Gilbert Arenas for most 40-point, 10-assist games in team history last Friday.

He torched the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 44-point, 10-assist-outing performance and gave his team its third win of the season.

With Wall likely out for the rest of the season after recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, Beal has taken over as the number one option for the Scott Brooks-coached team.

The two-time All-Star  is currently enjoying a career-high in points, notching 29.7 per game on 45.8 shooting from the field and 31.4 from downtown. Beal is also collecting 4.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.2 steals, but the Wizards have struggled early, losing eight of its first 11 games.

After battling through injuries in his first few years in the league, Beal has been healthy and has played all 82 regular season games in the past two seasons.
