The Washington Wizards were looking to complete their back-to-back against the Miami Heat with on a high note after winning their first matchup on Wednesday. However, the Wizards offense came out flat tonight and were unable to pull out the victory, dropping their second match with the Heat 91-88.

Contrary to most of the 2017-18 NBA season, superstar point guard John Wall suffered through an off-night. According to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, Wall admitted he did not look like his usual dynamic himself:

Wall finished the game with just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting albeit playing a solid 35 minutes. Although he managed to dish out eight assists, the four-time All-Star struggled mightily from deep, hitting just two of his seven attempted three-pointers.

The Wizards were atrocious on offense tonight and had only three players finish the game in double figures. Leading the way was shooting guard Bradley Beal with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while forward Otto Porter Jr. and center Marcin Gortat finished with 23 points combined.

Washington has maintained a high standard for themselves all year long by proclaiming to be the best team in the Eastern Conference. However, it is clear that the Wizards continue to struggle when one member of their star backcourt fails to produce.
