It's a rough day for Washington Wizards fans. The team almost had a huge win over a contender. A Kyle Kuzma dagger with 3.3 seconds left all but ensured the win for the Wiz against the Bulls. However, DeMar DeRozan put on his clutch hat and stole victory from them with another buzzer-beater to win the game for Chicago.

It's an unfortunate time to be in the spotlight for Wizards fans, as they fell victim to DeMar's clutch heroics this season. After an early-season surge, injuries and COVID unfortunately derailed the team for a little while. Bradley Beal's return to the lineup helped the team regain some form, and they were riding a high entering their matchup against the Bulls.

As for Kuzma, his stint with the Wizards has been… a rollercoaster ride, to put it lightly. He went to DC as part of the huge Russell Westbrook trade in the off-season. The hope was that being away from the LA spotlight and LeBron James' shadow will help Kuzma regain some of his mojo from early in his career. It hasn't panned out, though, as he's hitting career-lows in nearly all shooting metrics.

A win over the Bulls here would've helped put the Wizards back into form again. Instead, DeMar DeRozan sent them reeling and wishing for what could've been. Hopefully, Kuzma bounces back from this and regains some of the talent that made him such a coveted pick early in his career.
