The Washington Wizards have been one of the surprise teams of the NBA season so far. They've gone 7-3 to start the year, already with big wins over several conference rivals.

After the Wizards' latest victory, a big one over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, Kyle Kuzma reacted to a tweet that threw some subtle shade at Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook.

StatMuse highlighted just how good the Wizards have been this season with their newfound depth since the Westbrook trade. D.C. has cracked the top 10 in nearly every statistical category, but take note that they're doing it without a certain triple-double specialist.

All three additions from the Lakers have been key for the Wizards' early success. Kyle Kuzma has seamlessly stepped into the starting power forward role with Rui Hachimura still away from the team. Kuz has spaced the floor and contributed 9.4 rebounds per contest, tied for the 20th best per game average with Joel Embiid.

Montrezl Harrell has looked like an early favorite for Sixth Man of the Year. The big man has averaged 18.0 points and 9.7 rebounds off the bench while bringing energy and intensity every night. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Aaron Holiday have helped form a supporting cast around Wizards All-Star Bradley Beal that has them looking like a playoff lock early on.

For a guy like Kyle Kuzma who has been vocal about his inconsistent role with the Purple and Gold, it's probably a little extra sweet that the Lakers look to be in disarray early on. Russell Westbrook's start has been riddled with injuries and subpar performances thus far.

It's still way too early to have a verdict on the blockbuster Russell Westbrook trade that shook up the offseason, but Kyle Kuzma and the Wizards are sitting pretty right now.
