The Rui Hachimura saga has flown under the radar within NBA circles, but the latest development from the Washington Wizards camp suggests this episode may be coming to an end—for the right reason.

To recall, Hachimura was excused from team activities during the offseason due to personal reasons. As a result, the Wizards forward missed the entire training camp and preseason. To add to the mystery, there were reports that suggested Hachimura had seemingly cut off communication with the team.

The latest on Hachimura may point to a sort of reunion between the Wizards youngster and the rest of the squad, per team insider Quinton Mayo.

Rui Hachimura's workout today was the first time teammates had seen him in the gym this season, per source. Today, Hachimura also spent time catching up with team leaders—a step in the right direction.

Sans Hachimura, the Wizards have gone off to a strong start, racking up a 5-2 win-loss record which is good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. The team's new additions have provided some much-needed spark along with valuable depth to coach Wes Unseld Jr.'s rotation.
