Right now, it's safe to say that Russell Westbrook has adjusted quite well to life with the Washington Wizards. On Monday, the former league MVP notched another triple-double en route to setting the record for the most triple-doubles in Wizards franchise history.

The kicker? Westbrook has played just 37 games for the Wizards so far. Talk about a staggering pace.

Here is the exact play where Westbrook officially entered the Wizards history books (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Monday's triple-double was Westbrook's 16th of the season. He just shattered the franchise record of 15 triple-doubles which was previously held by Darrell Walker. For what it's worth, Westbrook is now just 19 triple-doubles away from matching the great Oscar Robertson's all-time record of 161 career triple-doubles. Right now, it; is looking like Westbrook could actually break that record this season.

Russ is in the midst of another historic season, with the 32-year-old currently averaging 21.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game. He's on pace to average a triple-double this season, which would be the fourth time he's achieved this feat throughout his career.

Unfortunately for the Wizards, Westbrook's insane numbers haven't translated too well on the basketball court. The team is still well outside the playoffs picture in the Eastern Conference, with every loss chipping away on what is quickly becoming a pipe dream for Washington. All hope is not lost, though, and with how the East is stacking up right now, a string of wins could result in the Wizards gunning for a spot in the postseason.
