The Washington Wizards are coming off a big win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, which was only their fourth win of the season. However, the team still finds itself at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and had lost three straight before the win over the Nets.

Still, one thing that the Wizards reportedly do not plan on doing is trading All-Star guard Bradley Beal, even despite all the rumors. According to a report from Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, Washington remains committed to Beal, who's averaging a league-leading 34.9 points per game.

However, one move the Wizards plan on making is making another run at Toronto Raptors president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri. The report states that the organization wants Ujiri to be in charge of the Wizards’ basketball operations and is willing to offer a lot to secure his services.

The team already made an offer to acquire the 50-year-old executive after he helped the Raptors to their first NBA title back in 2019. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Wizards offered to give Ujiri a $10 million salary and a chance to have an ownership stake in the team, but Ujiri ultimately chose to stay in Toronto.

Even if the Wizards are mired at the bottom of the East, the team still has a pair of All-Stars in Beal and Russell Westbrook, who looked rejuvenated against Brooklyn. However, the report also states that a lot can change throughout the course of the season. While Washington doesn't want to trade Beal now and the star shooting guard himself isn't asking out, those feelings could shift quickly.

But for now, it seems as if the move the Wizards want to make is to try to add Ujiri instead of dealing Beal to another team. That would certainly be a bold play.
