John Cena will return to the WWE on June 27th's episode of Monday Night RAW in Laredo, Texas. It will be Cena's 20th year anniversary since he has been with the WWE. The announcement was revealed on Monday, during Monday Night RAW. Cena confined the news moments later on Twitter.

John Cena has not appeared with the WWE since Summerslam last year when he was defeated by Roman Reigns in the main event. Since then, Cena has become much more of a global acting star as he starred in HBO Max's Peacemaker, premiering in January 2022. Cena has appeared on multiple talk shows, promoting not only his show but always putting over the WWE and how grateful he is for the company.

While it is unknown what Cena will be doing on the episode, he has teased a feud against Theory. Theory has long said he wants to retire Cena, and Cena's latest Instagram post may reveal that he is interested in the United States Championship that Theory holds. John Cena gave the championship more importance during his reign in 2015, with his open challenge, typically putting on the match of the night every week.

The hashtag #CenaMonth could indicate that Cena could be doing something more than just this one show. Cena could very well do what he did last year and set up a match for himself at this year's Summerslam in July. He is not promoted for the event at the moment, but his name on the card will surely boost ratings and tickets for the events to come.
