Unless you live in the New York metropolitan area, don't plan on going to WWE Raw hoping to acknowledge the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, this summer.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Reigns is currently only booked for the July 25th episode of RAW this summer, taking place at Madison Square Garden in the lead-in to Summerslam. While it was previously reported, also by Meltzer, that Reigns has signed a new deal that included working fewer dates, some speculated it would be mostly for house shows, as evidenced by a now-infamous Trenton, New Jersey house show promo. When coupled with his absence from Hell in a Cell and this new reporting, it would appear that this new deal extends to TV tapings as well as “Premium Live Events.”

Perhaps not the best look for the champion of both of the promotion's brands.

Reigns is still slated to face off against Riddle on the Friday, June 17th edition of Smackdown; a match that, if Riddle loses, will prevent him from ever challenging Roman for the Undisputed Universal Championship ever again. This match was initially set for Money in the Bank, but the move to Smackdown was believed to be because of TV ratings since Peacock is carrying the event and the show has already sold out after switching venues.

While the WWE Universe will get this title match on Friday, it is unknown just how many Smackdown dates will be worked by Reigns in the near future, though with an injured roster that includes Cody Rhodes, the presence of the Tribal Chief is sorely needed by Vince McMahon and company.
