Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia is being listed as day-to-day after suffering a sore right heel injury in the opening quarter of Game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs, exiting the game after only seven minutes of play.

His MRI results “came back clean” Wednesday, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Pachulia was replaced by veteran forward Matt Barnes in the second half, as Golden State played small for the entire third quarter, putting the finishing touches on a rout that was left for both benches to finish out in the fourth quarter.

The Georgian international might not be a huge factor statistical, surrounded by a cast of All-Stars, but his defensive impact has shown in other metrics. The Warriors have a defensive rating of 90.9 with him on the floor, a mark which rose to 100.9 with him off the hardwood.

If Pachulia can't make Game 3, Golden State could opt for a tandem of JaVale McGee as a “speed-five” and David West as the pivot man off the bench at the center position.
