Week 4 of the Fantasy Baseball Season is already set to begin. It seems as if the season is flying by. We are now entering the point of fantasy baseball where the picture is becoming clear of which players are actually good and which guys simply got off to hot starts. There are slow starters who could pick things up moving forward, but the numbers are beginning to iron themselves out. The good thing is there is plenty of value on the waiver wire waiting to be scooped up. Today, we will look at the top Week 4 pitcher streamer options.

This list will only consist of players rostered in under 50 percent of leagues according to ESPN. We will take a look at the best two-start options as well as the most promising one-start pitchers.

Without further ado, here are the top fantasy baseball Week 4 pitcher streamers.

Week 4 Fantasy Baseball Pitcher Streamers

Fantasy baseball Week 4 Two-Start Pitcher Streamers

Steven Matz, Cardinals, 43% Rostered

Matchups: VS KC, @SF

Steven Matz is about as up-and-down in fantasy baseball as it gets. The left-hander's overall 2022 numbers have not been anything to write home about either. But there is reason for optimism heading into this two-start week.

Matz's only real bad start came back on April 10th against the Pirates, when he surrendered 7 runs over just 3 innings. He has only allowed 5 runs in his 3 starts since that outing. Matz struck out exactly 6 batters (talk about consistency) in each of those 3 starts as well.

Am I thrilled about the late-week start against San Francisco? No, but he at least gets to face the Giants at hitter-friendly Oracle Park. But I love his scheduled start for Monday against the Royals at home. KC's lineup is near the bottom of most offensive categories and Matz should be able to produce at least 6 strikeouts while limiting them on the scoreboard.

Be sure to pick him up before it's too late as he is already rostered in just under 50% of leagues.

Dakota Hudson, Cardinals, 8.5 % Rostered

Matchups: VS KC, @SF

This is a Cardinals' fan's dream fantasy baseball article. Hudson is another St. Louis hurler who has an opportunity for a strong Week 4.

Hudson has been spectacular over his past couple of starts. Granted, he faced Cincinnati and Arizona in those outings. Nonetheless, Hudson tallied a total of 12.2 innings with 8 strikeouts in those two games. The 7 total walks are concerning, but Hudson has displayed an ability to strand base runners.

He isn't a guy who's going to carry your team to a championship. But Hudson can work deep into games and limit runs. He has yet to surrender more than 3 runs in a start this season.

Jake Odorizzi, Astros, 1.9% Rostered

Matchups: VS SEA, VS DET

I had to double check Odorizzi's rostered percentage a few different times. Is he a great pitcher? Maybe not, but it is surprising to see him rostered in less than 2% of leagues. Nonetheless, Odorizzi might be able to be a key asset for your fantasy baseball rotation this week.

The right-handed veteran labored through his first three starts of the season. But he was excellent against Texas in his last outing. He surrendered just 1 run over 6 innings while striking out 4 and walking just a single batter. Odorizzi also allowed just 1 hit.

His 6.00 ERA is what is keeping him off of most people's rosters. But I like him as a sneaky pickup this week. Seattle features a much better offense than year's past but they still flail quite a bit. The Tigers lineup is inconsistent as well. Odorizzi should be able to provide quality return value and is most likely going to be available in your league.

Other Two-Start Options:

LHP Marco Gonzalez: Rostered in just 50% of leagues, but could be available in smaller leagues.

RHP Daulton Jefferies: Oakland has yet to formally announce their Sunday and Monday starters. So if Jefferies' start gets pushed back to Monday be sure to add him. But there is a chance he ends up starting on Sunday, so wait until Oakland officially announces his next start date before adding him.

One-Start Pitcher Streamers

Tyler Anderson, Dodgers, 13.2% Rostered

Matchup: @CHC

Tyler Anderson originally began the season piggybacking Andrew Heaney's starts. Heaney stole the show after he excelled in first couple of outings. But he recently hit the injured list which opened up a full-time starting gig for Anderson.

Pitching for one of baseball's deepest rosters has it's perks. He is going to have a chance to earn a win if he can last at least 5 innings. However, the longest he has gone so far is 4.2 innings pitched. But I am predicting that Anderson reaches at least 5 innings for the first time in 2022 soon.

He also has yet to surrender more than 2 runs in any of his starts and has struck out 12 batters compared to just 3 walks. Go ahead and take a shot on Anderson.

Eric Lauer, Brewers, 41.3% Rostered

Matchup: @ATL

RECOMMENDED (Article Continues Below)

Eric Lauer at Atlanta! Are you crazy?

Maybe, but sometimes crazy is what gets the job done in fantasy baseball. Lauer features the highest reward, albeit highest risk, on this list. He struck out 13 batters (with some help from Angel Hernandez) in his last outing against the Phillies. He is scheduled to face the Cubs at home on Saturday of Week 3, before taking on the Braves in Atlanta next week.

This article is being written on Friday of Week 3, so be sure to check and see how he fares against Chicago at home on Saturday. Barring a complete disaster against the Cubs I like Lauer for Week 4 despite him facing the reigning champs.
