With the 34th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select wide receiver, Christian Watson. The young star is bound to be a huge part of Green Bay's offense in the upcoming season.

The Packers traded the No. 53 and 59 picks to the rival Minnesota Vikings for the No. 34 pick, per Field Yates.

Watson quickly made a name for himself as the top wide receiver for the North Dakota State Bison. The redshirt senior had an outstanding collegiate career and was consistently productive throughout his four years. This makes him a great pick for the Packers in the NFL Draft.

However, his 2021 senior is undoubtedly the most impressive. Watson led his team in all receiving statistics. He recorded 43 receptions for 800 yards and seven touchdowns, making him an excellent prospect in the NFL Draft. The receiver also doubled as a running back at times with 15 rushing attempts for 114 yards and one rushing touchdown.

The 6'4″, 208-pound receiver has both height and weight on his side, giving him an edge on his opponents. Along with his physical build, Watson has many other qualities that set him apart from the rest of the NFL Draft class. According to Watson's NFL prospect profile, he has a “very good blend of size, speed and length,” and “touchdown production through air, ground and return game.”

The league also credits the receiver for his improvement throughout his NCAA career. His profile notes his “improved hand strength on contested-catch” as well as added route polish. At only 22-years-old, Watson still has a lot to learn. As the newest member of the Packers, he'll reach his peak potential and become a top contributor in no time. Green Bay got a good on in the NFL Draft, as the Packers have an exciting young receiver to work with Aaron Roders.
